Standing in the Gap - August 8, 2013

Cleveland, Ohio

Starting today I begin a part-time job caring for a 95-year-old woman, so my time at the abortuary will be cut short on Thursdays from now on.  Since we were having car and scheduling issues, I needed to take my husband to work and use his truck, allowing my daughter to take my van to work.  My husband starts work at 8am, so  I decided to head straight to the abortuary knowing I would be there by myself for at least a half hour.

It was 8:30 am when I arrived to see two women already standing at the front door trying to get in.  As I pulled up and parked on the street, they were walking back to their vehicle.  They kept looking at me, wondering if I was one of the clinic workers.  I picked up some of my items and walked towards where we set up.  They approached me and the taller lady asked if I knew what time the building opened.  I told her they wouldn’t be open for a while yet and asked why they were here.  She told me that she was here to get an abortion.  When I asked her, “Why?", she replied that she was 45 years old and had already had all the kids she wants and wasn’t going to go through another pregnancy at her age.  I was so sad.  Instead of seeing this as a blessing, a miracle from God, she only saw a burden, something to be discarded to move on with her life.  I continued to speak with her about other options such as adoption and she became angry.  Just then one of the workers came speeding down the driveway honking her horn and yelling at them for standing in the driveway.  They asked me who that was, so I let them know that she is one of the wonderful workers who will be helping to kill her baby.  As the worker approached, the women told her why they were there and she took them to the front door.  I followed along speaking to them and pleading with her for her baby’s life.  They still could not get in the front door, so I had a captive audience as I stood on the sidewalk a couple of feet away.  The clinic worker told the ladies that I get paid to stand out there.  Though I told her that it was untrue and that I was there on my own dime and time because I care about women and their children and want them to know the truth, she still did not believe me.  Finally, after several minutesof me pleading with the woman and her yelling at me, the worker told them to go wait in the car so they wouldn’t have to listen to me any more.  This encounter reminded me of a woman named Kathy, whom I met in the church nursery when my first daughter was a baby.  I was 28 having my first baby and she was 42 having her "surprise" second baby.  I kept thinking about them and thinking how sad it would have been for Meredith to not have been born just because Kathy thought she was too old.  We cheapen life for everyone when we decide some aren't worthy.

 After they left, I introduced myself to the worker and asked her name.  She told me her name is Anita and that she is a registered nurse who helps prepare the women for the abortions and cares for them afterwards.  I spoke to Anita about what goes on in the abortuary and told her that she knows she is killing babies, which she agreed was true;  so I asked why she doesn’t get another job. She didn't answer but told me she doesn’t agree with abortion, which I find hard to believe since she works there.  I asked how many are there because they use it as birth control and she confessed that it is a very high percentage.  She mentioned several come for three or more abortions, which she thinks is terrible and should be limited.  She never mentioned rape but mentioned fetal anomalies for which local doctors refer the women to Marty for abortions.  I told her how sad that makes me that they would not give the child a chance at life but kill the child for “what could be.”  She said it is easier when the babies are first trimester but that she has seen a couple late term and they were hard on her.  I also asked her if women seem relieved after the procedure because they have taken care of what they think is the problem in their circumstances. She said yes, that for a lot of them that is the immediate reaction. I reminded her though of the many who suffer depression, suicide attempts and PTSD from abortion. I told her of women I know who still regret and lament their abortions 20, 30, and 40 years later. She agreed those are very real problems long term. We had quite a bit of time to talk until the other worker unlocked the door and let her in.When I persisted that she should find another job where she wasn’t involved in killing, she said that she has been very troubled at night recently.  We continued to talk for quite a while until another clinic worker came from inside the building and unlocked the door. I heard her say to Anita, “Was she bothering you?”  Anita replied, “No, she is very nice.”  May God use me to show Anita the truth of His word and may she turn to him in repentance and faith and leave the murder mill.

“But if a wicked person turns away from all his sins that he has committed and keeps all my statutes and does what is just and right, he shall surely live; he shall not die. None of the transgressions that he has committed shall be remembered against him; for the righteousness that he has done he shall live. Have I any pleasure in the death of the wicked, declares the Lord God, and not rather that he should turn from his way and live?"  ~ Ezekiel 18:21-23 ESV

Pastor Dale arrived around 9 am and Jillian and her two children around 9:30 am.  There were nine women who entered the killing place today…6 black, 3 white.  Only one took information from me.  Eight were in before I left and one entered later, but Jillian said she did not take information.

There was a very pregnant woman who entered with her backpack and pillow.  She had to be late second trimester or early third.  I pleaded with her and her friend, but they wouldn’t even look at me.  The friend kept coming in and out and we continued to plead with her that she would be a real friend and save her friend and the baby from this horror, but she wouldn’t listen at all.

One lady pulled up in front of the door and started swearing and screaming at Jillian and Pastor Dale.  She walked the younger woman in and then came back swearing and shouting and telling us how we were going to hell for judging. Through the expletives she told us she goes to church every Sunday and she is forgiven and we are the ones in danger of hell.  She continued screaming at us for a while and screamed all the way as she drove away.  How many people who consider themselves Christian are in real danger of hell themselves as they live with the idea that they can live however they want on earth as long as they go to church or prayed some prayer?  “Judge not” is the mantra of those who love their sin and don’t want to be confronted abut them.  Do they not know that they are being warned of the judgment and wrath to come for those who practice such deeds of darkness as murder of the innocent?  There are so many tares among the wheat.

Finally, I see that God’s hand was in all of this.  Having to arrange cars, schedules, and cut my time short was annoying to me; but I see that God allowed all those things to get me there early to speak to those two women and, ultimately, to Anita.    Please pray for Anita.  Pray that God would continue to trouble her with the sin she is committing against those precious babies.  Pray that her eyes would be opened to the little bodies being ripped apart and her heart softened to the silent cries.  Pray that she would repent and believe and leave that hellish place. Pray that, if God is willing, He would use me to continue to speak his truths to Anita and, hopefully, see her salvation.

"Whoever conceals his transgressions will not prosper, but he who confesses and forsakes them will obtain mercy." ~Proverbs 28:13 ESV

There are a couple weeks that I did not write about my experiences.  I couldn’t.  Life was too overwhelming.  I may get back to it, or not; but on a good and happy note, Pastor Dale reported that last week when I couldn’t be there that a woman who was about to abort looked at his pictures of the aborted babies and said she couldn’t go through with it.  He found out she was going to have twins.  She changed her mind and decided to keep the babies.  Two precious little lives saved and a mother saved from a lifetime of pain and regret.  Praise God!!!

Thank you for your faithful prayers and support.  May God get the glory.

Standing in the gap,
Laura

Standing in the Gap - July 11, 2013

Shaker Medical Center - Cleveland

I arrived this morning shortly after 9am and began setting up. Today I was again holding the "I know 44 Families Ready to Adopt You Baby" sign.   There were already two workers' cars in the parking lot.  Shortly after, Pastor Dale arrived to set up his signs.

The first clients arrived within a few minutes.  Pastor Dale told me to approach the woman.  I approached her with the information and told her that she did not have to go in there.  She took the information from me but went in anyway. :(   Another car pulled in and the two women wouldn't speak to us or take information.  Jillian and her children, Hannah and Mike arrived a few minutes later.

Two women approached us but would not speak to us or take any information.  They seemed to be taking the whole thing very lightly and went in to the building while Jillian pleaded with them to change their minds.

A couple pulled up in front of the building.  They sat in the car laughing for a bit.  The woman got out and Jillian tried to talk with her and give her information but she wouldn't listen or take the information and walked in.  The man drove away.  As he did, Pastor Dale told him that real men protect women and children they don't lead them to destruction.

The two women who would not speak to us came back out.  We tried to speak with them and give them the pre-abortion packet, but again they refused.  The driver could not find her keys, so as they stood there while she fumbles through her purse, Jillian read scripture and developmental facts of the baby growing in the womb.  Finally, she found her keys and they got in and drove away.  They would come back later and again refuse to speak with us.

Jillian and Pastor Dale called out to two of the black workers as they were walking in and reminded them that abortion kills more blacks than anything else, that it is the ultimate black-on-black crime.  One of the workers said, "Yes, I know but we kill white and hispanic babies as well."  Jillian said, "So you know you are killing?"  They continued in to the building.

Another woman came in and I asked her if she knew that they kill babies here?  She said, "Yes.  That's what I am here for."  I pleaded with her not to go in, but she continued in.  I continued to speak to her until I saw her get on the elevator.

One of the workers pulled in and a client with two others also pulled in shortly after.  The three people who got out of the car started to walk towards us, but the abortion worker called to them to go in the back door with her.  Jillian pleaded with them not to go in, and the abortion-minded mother said, "Are you going to care for this baby once I have it?"  Jillian assured her she would or would help her find someone to adopt the baby if she would give the baby life.  The woman turned her back and continued to go in.

"Rescue those who are being taken away to death; hold back those who are stumbling to the slaughter." ~Proverbs 24:11

A young women pulled up with a man.  The man remained in the car and I approached her with the pre-abortion packet as she walked up to the clinie.   I  asked her what she was here for.  She said she had an unplanned pregnancy.  I pointed to Hannah and her sign saying that "15 years ago she was an unplanned pregnancy," and explained about Jillian's situation at the time of being single, pregnant and homeless.  She was very interested and kept looking at the two of them.  I told her she didn't have to go through with it and asked how far along she was.  She said, "Eight weeks."  I showed her the information on fetal development at 8 weeks and explained that God already knows her baby in the womb.  I asked her name and she told me, Keisha.   I gave her information about the abortion procedure and the risks of abortion.  I explained that there were other options such as adoption and that if she would not go in I would take her to Alternaterm where they would help her and she would not have to kill her baby.  I asked her why she was getting the abortion.  She said her boyfriend told her to have it.  I explained that he was not able to tell her to kill her baby and asked his reasoning for insisting on the abortion.  She said he already has kids of his own and doesn't want more, so I said, "So he tells you that you have to kill your baby?"  I asked her if she wanted the abortion.  She became agitated and again I told her she did not have to do it that I would take her to the pregnancy center.  I asked her if she knew Jesus and she said, "Kind of."  I began to share with her but she started towards the building.  Pastor Dale gave me a brochure about the black genocide and I explained Margaret Sanger's racist ideas.  I pleaded with her not to go in and explained that abortion was final and that adoption would give her the option of finding her child again some day, while abortion would mean she had killed her child and would never see him/her again.  She looked thoughtfully at me, so I asked if she would at least take the information and look at it and please change her mind.  She went in the building and I continued to speak to her through the door until she disappeared on to the elevator.  I talked with her for 8-10 minutes and I really hoped and prayed she would take our offer of help and have mercy on her baby.  We prayed for her and Jillian put on the microphone and amplifier and spoke scripture to her in front of the building.  She put out a plea on Facebook for prayer.  We hoped that she would come out.  Jillian also spoke to the driver waiting for her in the car.  She spoke scripture and reminded him that he was guilty of murder as well, just as the driver of a car in a bank robbery is also guilty of robbery. Keisha didn't come out by the time we left, but we continued to hope and pray and cry.  Later we would learn from a family that arrived after we left that she did go through with the abortion.  Please pray for Keisha that she will repent of her sins and believe in Jesus.

"There are six things which the LORD hates, Yes, seven which are an abomination to Him: Haughty eyes, a lying tongue, And hands that shed innocent blood,  heart that devises wicked plans, Feet that run rapidly to evil, A false witness who utters lies, And one who spreads strife among brothers."
~Proverbs 6:16-19

Marty, the abortionist pulled in and, did his usually smug smile and giving us the finger.  I called out to him, but he always pulls around back and hides from us and enters through the back door.  I can't help but think how hard his heart must be and wonder if there is any hope for him, yet I know there is hope for the worst sinner who repents and believes.  I have to remember Saul, who was a persecutor and murderer of Christians, and how he repented and believed and was redeemed to become the apostle Paul.

All in all there were eight women today who came to have their babies murdered, 6 black and 2 white.   As I reflect on what happened, it is apparent that information is not the problem, it is hard hearts.  I really thought Keisha may change her mind, but in the end, even with the offers of help, she had made up her mind to kill her child.  It wasn't about lack of help or information, it was about a hard heart towards the things of God and towards her own child.  Please pray for these women.  God can soften their hearts and open their eyes to the reality of what they have done.  We would pray they would come to repentance and forgiveness through the Lord Jesus Christ.

Pastor Dale mentioned that Marty's clinic in Toledo had been investigated and shut down recently and that Marty told him yesterday that he is selling this building.  We don't know if that means he is going out of business or changing locations.  We hope it is a "going out of business" sale.  There were only 8 clients today, and while that is 8 too many, it is way less than his murder business used to have on a daily basis according to Pastor Dale who has been standing in front of this murder mill for 20 years.  Please pray that his reign of terror is coming to an end.  Unfortunately, there is another abortion mill only three buildings down from Marty's and is the busiest in the State.  Please continue to pray with us that God would bring an end to these evils.

Laura

This update is coming much later than I would have liked. It took me some time to process some of what happened and coupled with some family things that come first, it took me a while to sit down and type out thoughts.

Women's Medical Group - Akron

"Their feet run to evil, And they hasten to shed innocent blood; Their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity, Devastation and destruction are in their highways." ~ Isaiah 59:7

I haven’t been to this abortion mill in Akron for several weeks as I have been focusing more on mills in my city; but today was planning to go to meet Vanessa to get some items from her.    When I arrived no one was there so I got my ministry materials together and headed across the street to the abortion mill.

As I stood there, I wondered why God had me there today by myself.   Michael, the security guard came out and looked at what I was doing and tried to look intimidating.  There was nothing to fear as I am not breaking any laws and God is my strength.  I prayed God would give me peace and the words to say.

Loretta, a sweet, gentle older woman,  showed up about a half hour later.  Judy, the abortion mill escort, arrived, put on her yellow vest and walked up with Michael to see what Loretta and I were up to.   When she saw my sign that says, “I know 44 families ready to adopt your baby.  We are here to help.”  She chortled, “OH REALLY!!!  Well I know 144 families ready to adopt!!  The only problem is families only want blonde-haired, blue-eyed, white babies.”  I told her that was not true as I know many families who would love any child that came into their home and that I personally have several friends who have adopted black, bi-racial, or special needs children.  She cackled again and said, “Oh, yeah, sure you do!”  I assured her I was telling the truth but she continued to laugh and call me a liar.

I introduced myself to her and she told me that I was a hateful bully.  I asked her how she got that out of my sign that says, “I know families willing to adopt.”  She said that I am bullying women, that I will scream at people and act in hateful ways and block the driveway.  She obviously had some strange perception of me as I had only been there twice before and had never done any of the things she mentioned.  She also was just trying to feel justified in abusing me as she said she had never seen me before.

The first thing I asked her was why she was ok with killing babies in the womb.  She said they weren’t killing anything that there wasn’t anything there but a fetus.  I asked her what a fetus is and she said, “Oh for %&* sake, you know what’s in the womb, it’s a fetus, nothing more.”  So I continued to probe her for what kind of fetus it was, which species?  She continued to tell me that it would be a baby once it was born but that when it was a fetus it wasn’t a baby and wasn’t anything being killed.  So I probed a bit further and asked her what the fetus was before it was a fetus?  She sighed and rolled her eyes and said, “There is nothing before a fetus!!  It’s always a fetus until birth; then it’s a baby.”  I explained to her that she was scientifically incorrect, that “fetus” is only the terminology for a certain developmental stage of a human being.  She said, “Ok, if you’re so smart, what is it before it’s a fetus?”  It seemed like a losing battle at that moment, so I informed her that science is very clear that there are stages before fetus.  She replied, “Oh, of course, you’re so smart.  You KNOW everything, Laura.”  I assured her I didn’t but that I understood the developmental stages of human beings.  She began screaming obscenities at me and telling me to “shut up.”  She spoke to Lauretta for a while about a different topic that Lauretta brought up… Agenda 21, and I was speaking to Michael and she said, “Can’t you ever shut up, Laura?”  Hmm... guess my husband could best answer that question. ;)    I informed her I was speaking to Michael at that time.  We talked some more and I explained what God says about murder and she said, “Oh yeah, the bibldy babbldy bible…. It was written by men and not to be believed.“   I continued to share God’s word with her and she continued to rage against it.  I know it was the word of God not me she was angry about.  She told me I was ridiculous and laughed and started to walk away.

By this time there were several pro-life people who had arrived and were calling out to the women who were taking their children to slaughter.  We were unable to hand out any information as there is a long driveway that goes around the back of the building and that is where all the clients enter and are “protected” from us.

“If you love those who love you, what benefit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them.  And if you do good to those who do good to you, what benefit is that to you? For even sinners do the same. But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return, and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, for he is kind to the ungrateful and the evil.  Be merciful, even as your Father is merciful." ~Luke 6:32-33, 35-37

Judy and Michael walked back towards us.  I had been praying for Judy, as have Elaine and Rachelle for some time.  We have been hoping for an open door to really speak with her and for God to soften her heart.   It is so easy to look at Judy and want to hate her.  She is helping women kill their babies, giving wrong medical information seemingly on purpose and screaming obscenities at me and calling me a hateful bully; but all I could think when I looked at her was that I was sorry for her for being so blind and deceived.   I felt God impressing me to just listen to her and see if I could get past the hard exterior.

As she walked towards the front of the building I asked her if she would come over and talk to me.  She rolled her eyes, sighed and asked what I wanted.  I told her that I stood by what I said earlier but that if I had been been rude to her personally, that I would ask her forgiveness.  Her eyes narrowed and she looked me up and down and said, “Of course I forgive you.”   I then asked her what she would like me to know about her.  She said, “Nothing,” but then proceeded to tell us that she was brought up in Catholic school and the Catholic church.     She said a lot of interesting things that gave me insight into who she is.  I also had a chill run down my spine when she told me that a lot of the women (blacks) that she counsels do not even know the names of their body parts or how they became pregnant.  She said they already have ten kids from ten different men and do we really want people like this reproducing?  That took me right back to Margaret Sanger and her thoughts on blacks, mentally ill, Jews, and assorted other “undesirables” that she did not want reproducing and being a drain on society.   She tried to say that she works at the clinic to help women, because so often they are trapped by irresponsible men who get them pregnant and walk out on them.  I almost believe she is sincere in thinking that.  I just wish she would realize the evil of killing a child is not the solution.  While we were discussing that, I mentioned that if people did things God’s way and had respect for themselves and God’s laws and waited until marriage to have sex there wouldn’t be as much need to cover up the sin of fornication with the sin of murder.  She actually said she supports abstinence as well as birth control.  Judy mentioned that she had been physically attacked by a pro-life woman who happened to be there that day.  I do not know if that is true or not, but I told her if I saw her get attacked I would have stepped in to stop that.  Her response was, “I may be 70 but I can take care of myself.”   I told her no matter, I would have stepped in to defend her.   Judy and I talked at length.  She said so much more but it would take pages to recount the whole conversation.  Please pray for Judy and pray that God will draw her to Himself.

There were several women who went in to have their babies murdered today, but unfortunately, as I mentioned earlier, we were unable to get any pre-abortion packets to them because of the distance.  Please pray for those women.  God will still redeem them if they repent and believe.

Standing in the gap,

Laura

How Can We Not Care?

How can we not care?

Children's blood is everywhere.

It flows on through our streets,

and we dare not say a peep.

I might offend someone,

and I cannot speak on political things.

But I ask you here and now,

If Jesus were here would he be silent?

Would HE not say a Word?

Babies' blood is on our hands, O, Church.

You close your eyes, and sing your songs,

How cold and hardened is your heart,

that you cannot speak a word?

You speak on non-essential things,

like purses, shoes and clothes.

These material things they have you heart and mind,

yet you will not give our children one precious dime of time.

You care about your children,

and "happy little things,"

I really have to wonder how many children have to die,

before the Church of Christ will rise.

If a massacre went on,

would you still sing your happy songs,

if babies were aborted right BEFORE your eyes?

Well, Christian, abortion goes on behind closed doors,

but what excuse is that?

When you stand before the Lord one day,

will he say, "well that is that"?

We spend our mind, on unimportant things,

material things that rot;

while a massacre continues on,

two children a minute that's what.

Would Jesus approve of this, O Church?

A man was at the side of the road,

badly beaten and robbed,

Two men passed him by that day,

but finally one man stopped.

We call this man the "Good Samaritan"

and admire him a lot.

This man had pitty on that poor, poor man,

and acted like a Christian you know?

What more can one person say?

What good are we, O Church of God,

if we claim the name of Christ,

and do NOT the things He said?

What good are those,

who "bear His name," yet care not for the "least of these"?

If Jesus were here, what would He say to you and me?

Rise up, O Church of God,

blood is on our hands.

How can we not care?

Children's blood is everywhere.

Now do not get me wrong,

I have been guilty as the rest,

I just think it's time we stop acting like these children do not exist.

Planned Parenthood - Bedford

"Their feet are swift to shed blood: Destruction and misery are in their ways..."
 ~Romans 3:15-16

Today was another day in front of the Planned Parenthood in Bedford.   It was a sunny, warm day and after last week’s constant parade of cars, I didn’t know what to expect; but prayed that God would move in hearts and minds.   There were several praying for us as well.  I am so blessed by those who partner with us in prayer.

I arrived just before Jillian and her children and we headed over to take our places in front of the abortion mill.  Jillian had her mic/amp unit today, so she was able to speak to the mothers without having to shout.

There were already 20-30 workers at the facility when we arrived and clients started arriving soon after.  Since most of the employees park up front, the clients pull around to the back and go in the back door.  It is frustrating to not be able to share the pre-abortion packets with them, but I know they heard Jillian today.
J

A father and son showed up, whom I had never met before, and shortly after Pastor Sanders and his crew showed up, so there were 12 of us there today.

An older woman pulled in and as she headed in to the building, I was informed that she is employed by Planned Parenthood to “protect” women from us.  I’m not really sure how that works, since we are just trying to give women information and share the gospel with them so that they will not make the terrible mistake of killing their babies and regretting it later.  We are there to offer the hope of Jesus, which is the same for all people.   I asked Linda, if she didn’t see the hypocrisy in “protecting” women from us, while taking them in to the person who would murder their babies and cause them harm?  She wouldn’t respond, but sat out front like she was doing some sacred work.  It was so disheartening.   Jillian was able to share the gospel with her at least three times today.

Most cars pulled in quickly and we were not able to give them information. We offered information to them as they were pulling out, but none of them accepted that either. A woman walking by, asked us for information, so we gave her a pre-abortion pack to share with women she knows.

An SUV with two women pulled in and pulled around toward the back. They could see me and my sign about adoption. I called to them that I had information and that she didn't have to go inside. The driver stuck her middle finger out the window and kept it there while I asked them to reconsider. She finally rolled up the window. I'm not sure if the other woman got out because she drove around the back of the building and I couldn't see them any more.

Another car pulled up and a very pregnant woman got out. Jillian told her that she did not have to go in there, that there was help for her and her baby, but to no avail. This killing place supposedly only does abortions to 15 weeks, but she had to be way beyond that, so we don't know if they killed the child here or will send her to Marty's place on Shaker Blvd. where he performs late-term abortions. That is one of the other mills where we minister.

One woman who had gone in and come out by herself, talked to me as she was pulling out.  She said that the women inside were scared of us and we should find a better way.  I asked her how that was possible as I had offered information and to talk to anyone pulling in.  I explained they are afraid of us because of the lies told to them by Planned Parenthood and by their own guilt because there was no one outside doing anything but praying, offering information and quoting scripture.   She said she was “pro-life,” so I told her that she needed to be out here helping to protect women from the evils of the killing place.

Jillian was sharing the disgusting things that Margaret Sanger said about blacks and Jews and a young guy in his twenties was pulling out with his girlfriend and said he agreed with that.  We couldn't believe he said that and it really riled up the black men standing with us pleading for babies lives.  It made me incredibly sad to know that people think this way.  It is another reminder of sin and how people degrade and dehumanize others, especially at an abortion mill.

We were able to hand out tracts to several passing by as well as a few of the men had longer conversations and shared the gospel with a few people.  Several people honked and waved in support when driving by and a few people said they would be back to stand with us.  I don't know if that will happen, but they were informed about the truth of abortion.

Just before we leave each time one of the men leads a prayer over the abortion mill.  As we were leaving, Linda was putting away her chair in her car, which was parked right up against the fence in the front.  I asked her to please have compassion on the babies and their mothers, but she wouldn’t even make eye contact with me.  I pleaded with her to not take part in this evil.  She walked around the back of the building and we left.

I was struck by how many looked at our signs today, mine in particular about knowing 44 families ready to adopt a baby and offering help, and either completely ignored them or flipped me off or yelled at me.  These are the people who are “afraid of us.”  It was a sad day as I reflected on the joy I feel celebrating my precious niece’s birthday, while thinking about how many children will never have a birth-day because their mothers had them murdered today. :’(

Please continue to pray for all involved in the evil of abortion.  If you have had an abortion or participated in one, please know there is hope, healing and forgiveness for all who repent of their sins and believe in Jesus.

Rescue the perishing, care for the dying,
Snatch them in pity from sin and the grave;
Weep o’er the erring one, lift up the fallen,
Tell them of Jesus, the mighty to save.
  • Refrain:
    Rescue the perishing, care for the dying,
    Jesus is merciful, Jesus will save.

Though they are slighting Him, still He is waiting,
Waiting the penitent child to receive;
Plead with them earnestly, plead with them gently;
He will forgive if they only believe.
Down in the human heart, crushed by the tempter,
Feelings lie buried that grace can restore;
Touched by a loving heart, wakened by kindness,
Chords that were broken will vibrate once more.
Rescue the perishing, duty demands it;
Strength for thy labor the Lord will provide;
Back to the narrow way patiently win them;
Tell the poor wand’rer a Savior has died.

Standing in the Gap - June 27, 2013

Rescue those who are being taken away to death; hold back those who are stumbling to the slaughter. ~Proverbs 24:11

Drew, Esther and I arrived at the abortuary at 9:30 am.  Pastor Dale was already there and one of the workers was there as was a client.   Dale said the women had been there yesterday with her 18-20 year old daughter and the mother told him she was bringing her daughter for birth control; but being back again early this morning, Dale said it was an abortion.

Jillian and Hannah arrived.  Jillian had purchased a wonderful little microphone/amplification unit.  She strapped it on and walked the sidewalk in front of the clinic sharing God’s word and human development/abortion facts.

A couple more workers arrived as did Marty, the abortionist, which was earlier than usual.  He stopped to tell Jillian there was a bubble law and she was not allowed to block the entrance to the clinic, which there isn’t in Ohio and she wasn’t anyway.  As he pulled in the drive he gave us his usual smug smile and blessing (middle finger) and drove around to park in the back.

Another car pulled in; and as the ladies were entering we tried to give them information and tell them we knew people who would adopt an unwanted child.  They looked at the posters for a minute and kept walking.  Jillian pleaded with them, but they went in.

The first lady, who had brought her daughter, came out.  Jillian handed her a “First 9 Months” book and she sat in the car and read it.  While she was in the car, Jillian walked over near the parking lot and began speaking to her with the amp unit.  The woman was becoming visibly upset and was shaking her head and raising her voice to someone on the phone. Eventually she drove away. Jillian proceeded back to the front door to continue sharing scripture and pregnancy/abortion facts.

Two more clients arrived but neither took the information.  As two of them were coming back out Achtse called out to them and they started screaming obscenities at her.  It was very sad to see them be abusive to this dear sweet, gentle older lady.

Esther handed out 12 tracts today to people passing by.  One of them actually drove up to speak to us about what we were doing.  They wanted to let us know they supported it and gave Dale a couple bucks, which he gave to Jillian for gasoline since she travels over an hour one way to speak for the unborn.

A man on a bicycle riding past stopped to talk to Achtse and Dale; and he was shocked by the posters and knowing what was going on in the building. He took pictures to show his friends and rode by a little later with another guy to show him the posters.

This is a day care center in the building attached to the abortion mill where they regularly slaughter children.  Murding children in one part of the building, caring for them in the other.  How disturbing is that?

It was a really strange day today. Only four clients came in; Praise God!!  Unfortunately we are fairly certain the first one was a partial birth abortion. They were there early and when they left out the back door the woman was moving slowly and then was lying down in the passenger seat. It was very sad .

On a bright note, Pastor Dale said that the last people in last Thursday, came out shortly after we left at Noon.  It was a woman and man that had come in separate cars.  We had given them information, but they went in anyway.  Dale said they were not in long enough to have seen Marty and they came out the front door, while those who have abortions exit through the back.  He said the two hugged in the parking lot.  The man drove away and the woman got in her car.  Dale offered her more info and said, “I hope you don’t come back here.”  She took the info, smiled at him and drove away.   Perhaps a save!!!  Praying she does not return.

Please continue to pray that this evil will be abolished and please get involved.  Pray that Marty and his staff will REPENT of their evil deeds and believe in Jesus.  Pray for those who led their children to slaughter today that God would work in their hearts and bring them to repentance, faith and forgiveness.

For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”  How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him uof whom they have never heard?And how are they to hear without someone preaching? 15 And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!” 16 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed what he has heard from us?” 17 So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ. ~Romans 10:13-17

What will you do to get involved?   Men and women are committing murder in the name of "choice" and need to be warned of the wrath to come.  The unborn have no voice of their own.  We must speak on their behalf.
